Altai Shilajit is harvested at 12,000 feet in the Altai mountain regions of Siberia, where local populations have been collecting the resinous substance for centuries. The formation of Altai Shilajit is a natural process that takes centuries, it begins with the gradual break down of plant material caused by microorganisms under unique geographical and climate conditions. This process results in the concentration of organic matter that eventually culminates in the formation of Shilajit.
Altai Shilajit has a rich history intertwined with the traditional medicine of various cultures especially with Agurveda. Historical texts such as “Charaka, Samhita” a foundation text in Agurvedic medicine, describe Shilajit as a powerful rejuvenator and healer ideal for longer life span and was also recognised in ancient Tibet and other parts of Asia. It was often used to treat general wellness and to improve energy, digestion and mental sharpness. Additionally, it was valued as a potent aphrodisiac and a means to combat various diseases. These are just a few examples of why Altai Shilajit is classed as an adaptogen.
Altai Shilajit contains an array of nutrients essential to body function and wellbeing. Full spectrum minerals, amino acids and fulvic acids, broad spectrum, vitamins, fatty acids and Phendic compounds in a unique bio available format, which is 100% intercellular with the human body.
